A Glimpse of the Mountains

Switzerland is really wonderful. This is the land of chocolate and cheese and marvelous fondues; of cows and skiing and old churches, and of course, perfect timepieces. But not much of this can be experienced via our blog. What we can share is a bit of the stunning beauty of the Alps.

This is Saas-Balen, the town where Didier's family lives. It's located in the Saas valley in southern Switzerland.

One day Didier and I went on a 5 1/2 hour hike, and this is one of the lovely views we had.

There are glaciers all over the place.

An Introduction

Greetings from Switzerland! We would like to introduce our blog to you.

We have created this blog in the interest of staying in contact with family and friends, especially those in the US, since we will be living in Switzerland after our upcoming wedding. We hope you will visit our blog often and say hello now and then!
